Cargotec Corporation ‑ which MacGREGOR is part of ‑ published its result for 2007 today. MacGREGOR’s orders received in 2007 accounted for a record high of EUR 1,696 million.
Worldwide demand for marine cargo flow and offshore solutions reached a record high in 2007 with the increasing number of new vessel orders in shipyards around the world. MacGREGOR’s sales kept pace with this demand for all of company’s operations worldwide and succeeded in winning market share. At the end of the year the company’s orders received totalled more than double those for the end of 2006.
“MacGREGOR’s excellent result cannot only be credited to the good market situation,” says Olli Isotalo, President of the MacGREGOR Group. “Our expertise in providing engineering and service solutions for the maritime transportation industry together with the markets gained by the newcomers of the Group; Bulk Handling and Offshore divisions, bring the company new opportunities. We are growing fast, both in terms of revenue and in number of personnel, and thus MacGREGOR is not the same company as it was two years ago. We are ‑ and shall continue to be ‑ successful because we are able to deliver the products and services that our customers have come to expect”.
