Press Release Norfolk/Bremen, 3 March 2011 ATLAS North America founded  Germany’s ATLAS ELEKTRONIK has set up a subsidiary in the USA  Entering the most demanding market of the world is an important step within globalization strategy Norfolk/Bremen – The Atlas Elektronik Group, a worldwide acting company for maritime defense elec- tronics, has founded a subsidiary in North America. Atlas North America (Atlas NA) has been set up to establish a strong and reliable partnership with the US Navy and US authorities. As potential main con- tractor Atlas NA will provide Atlas products and solutions for current or future US users. This is an impor- tant step within the globalization strategy of the company, which is based with its headquarters in Ger- many. For decades now, Atlas has been offering a broad range of sonars and sensors, command and control systems for submarines and surface combatants, heavyweight torpedoes and corresponding counter- measures, mine warfare systems, unmanned underwater vehicles, as well as coastal surveillance sys- tems. To round off its broad palette, ATLAS offers comprehensive range of support services, both before and after delivery of the products.
