Beschreibung

Jayant Abhyankar is the deputy director of the International Maritime Bureau, which is a specialised division of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Founded in 1981, the IMB takes a leading role in countering maritime fraud, piracy and related problems.

He has been with the IMB since its inception and was responsible for setting up the Piracy Reporting Centre in Kuala Lumpur. He was seconded to the shipping division of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to assist with their work on maritime fraud.

He is a visiting professor on maritime security at the World
Maritime University.
